In 2015, Friends of Barnabas hosted its first medical conference focusing on Early Childhood Development concepts.
Due to the overwhelming response from participants, a partnership was begun with the San Pedro Sula Pediatric Association chapter. Yearly conferences were held (previous to the COVID-19 pandemic) covering other pediatric related topics such as therapy modalities for children with developmental delays, diagnosis and treatment of brain trauma, and autism. Average attendance at each conference was 75 participants, including physicians, nurses and therapist.
