Roads….where we’re going, we don’t need roads.

I think Doc may have been secretly referring to the route taken to Buena Vista de Rio Bonito since the word “road” should be taken very, very loosely. Lucky for us, our bus driver, Giovanny did a rockstar job and deserves a round of applause for navigating those narrow and windy turns. .
We arrived safely and were ready to leap into action, stethoscopes, measuring tape, and fluoride in hand. The day started off swiftly and soon we were all in a groove like a well-orchestrated…well, orchestra . Linda nailed it in measures, Skip got everyone their Vitameatavegamins (Lucy anyone ) Kim, Theresa, and Christina rocked the medical clinic with their trusty pharmacist, Larry (no no not the cable guy ) and Steve worked the fluoride station, in the dark…with no interpreter, just him and the dentist who spoke as much English as Steve did Spanish. Poquito! Well done Steve.
The highlight of the day was a little girl named Nancy. Well, that’s not her real name, but she told Skip something that sounded like Nancy so we went with it! Nancy went around giving us all hugs and even posed with Skip for a picture. Her bright smile was contagious (the good kind!) And she left an impression on everyone. All in all, the Chatham team rocked today, showing you can get a heck of a lot done when we all come together. Buenas noches!
